Rhinos leave Colorado 2-0-1

Zach Hale got the equalizer at 11:23, assisted by Nick Gorup and Hayden Kowalski. The irrepressible Harris notched the game-winner at 15:46, with assists to Zach Kohn and Balko. And Kowalski, playing in his hometown, got the insurance goal unassisted at 19:14.

Wilhite’s goal gives him 12 on the season, which, along with 14 assists, ties him for seventh in the Western States Hockey League’s scoring table at 26 points.

Kohn, who scored two goals both Friday and Saturday for El Paso and assisted the game-winner Sunday, is now tied for 11th in the league with nine goals and 16 assists for 25 points. Gorup is tied for 16th with 22 points (7g, 15a). Balko is right behind, tied for 18th with 12 goals and nine assists (21 points); while Kowalski continues to impress in his second season with 11 goals and nine assists, tying him for 20th in the league with 20 points.

Hollinger remains third among leading goaltenders with a sparkling 10-0-2 record and a goals-against average of just 1.63. Back-up goalie Anthony Natali is fifth with a 2.30 GAA.

The Rhinos 16-0-2 mark gives them 34 points, the top point total in the WSHL, and keeps El Paso eight points clear of the Tulsa Rampage, 5-2 winners Sunday in Dallas, atop the Mid-West Division.
