IACOPELLI, NOEL REASSIGNED TO ROCKFORD

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned forwards Matheson Iacopelli and Nathan Noel from the ECHL’s Indy Fuel to the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.
 
Iacopelli, 23, has spent the majority of the 2017-18 season with the IceHogs, tallying 19 points (11g, 8a) and a +7 rating in 50 AHL games. The winger notched a season-high three-game point streak (2g, 3a) from Oct. 22-27 and netted his first AHL multi-goal game with a pair of markers on Jan. 5 at Grand Rapids. Overall, Iacopelli has combined for 23 points (12g, 11a) in 58 career AHL contests with the IceHogs over the last two seasons.
 
The Woodhaven, Michigan native departs Indy, where he logged 10 points (9g, 1a) in 10 games during the regular season. Iacopelli scored at least one goal in each of his first three ECHL games with the Fuel, including netting a hat trick on six shots on Feb. 24 vs. Quad City.
 
Noel, 20, made his professional debut with the Fuel this season, logging 11 points (4g, 7a) in 21 games during the regular season with Indy. The forward then tallied points in three of four ECHL playoff games, finishing with two goals and an assist in the postseason for the Fuel.
 
The St. John's, Newfoundland native rejoins the IceHogs with one goal, eight penalty minutes and seven shots on net in 17 AHL contests this season. He scored his lone marker as the game-winning goal in a 4-3 win over San Antonio on Feb. 18.
