STONE WALL

Monarchs first-year goaltender, Charles Williams, has showed why he was a Hobey Baker Finalist during his senior season at Canisius College. With Joe Cannata (Colorado) up with the San Antonio Rampage (AHL), Williams is the active leader across the ECHL with his 2.14 GAA, while his 0.933 save percentage is tied for second. Williams will need to be on his game tonight, as Norfolk will bring the ECHL’s top-ranked road power-play unit into SNHU Arena, converting on 29.3% (12-for-41) of their chances.

TAKE BACK THE JUNGLE

The Monarchs are in a three-way tie for first in the North Division with 26 points, but have surprisingly had a tough time at SNHU Arena. Through eight games this season, the Monarchs are 3-5-0-0, tied for the fewest home wins across the ECHL. The Monarchs have history on their side, however, as the team is 41-20-6-5 on home ice the past two seasons.

NEED A COMEBACK?

Manchester will have as good a chance as any tonight if they fall behind heading into the third period. Entering tonight’s contest, Norfolk has allowed a league-high 34 goals in the third period.

EXPECT SOME SHOTS

The Monarchs sit third in the ECHL, averaging 36.81 shots per game, and will most likely up that number tonight as the Admirals have allowed 38.57 shots on goal each game, the second most in the league.
