Monarchs Bring Back Eric Schurhamer

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Rich Seeley, announced today that Eric Schurhamer has signed a Standard Player Contract for the 2017-18 season.

The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings.

Schurhamer, 23, re-signs with Manchester after playing 12 games for the Monarchs during the 2016-17 season. During his first stint in professional hockey, Schurhamer scored three points, with his first career goal coming Mar. 3 against the Elmira Jackals.

The 5-foot-9, 187-pound native of St. Paul, Minn., spent his past four years playing college hockey at the University of Maine (H-East), where he skated in 126 career games. Schurhamer tallied 43 total points on 10 goals and 33 assists, and served as the alternate captain for the Black Bears during the 2016-17 season.

Schurhamer and the Monarchs open the 2017-18 season Oct. 14, when they face-off against the Worcester Railers at the DCU Center (7:05 p.m.).

The Monarchs open their home slate at SNHU Arena against the Railers on Oct. 21 (6 p.m.). Opening Night Packs include four tickets to the game, and are on sale for just $40, HERE.
