Monarchs Re-Sign Joel Lowry

 

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and General Manager, Doug Christiansen, announced today that the Monarchs have re-signed Joel Lowry to a Standard Player Contract for the 2018-19 season.

The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings.

Lowry, 26, returns to Manchester after skating in 33 games with the Monarchs last season, while racking up 17 goals and 22 assists for 39 points. Over the past two seasons, Lowry has totaled 36 games and 40 points with the Monarchs.

 

The 6-foot-1, 181-pound native of Calgary, Alberta, was drafted by the Kings (140th overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft and attended Cornell University. During his time at Cornell, Lowry scored 77 points on 29 goals and 48 assists in 111 games, while adding 155 penalty minutes. Through three professional seasons, he has skated in 93 AHL games, recording nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points.

Lowry and the Monarchs open the season on the road against the Brampton Beast on Oct. 13, before returning home on Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. to face the Newfoundland Growlers. For tickets to Opening Night, Season Memberships and group tickets, please contact the Monarchs front office at 603-626-7825.
