MANCHESTER, N.H. – Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and General Manager Doug Christiansen announced today that the Monarchs have re-signed defenseman Rob Hamilton for the 2018-19 season.

The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings.

Hamilton, 24, skated in 23 games for the Monarchs last season, totaling 15 points on four goals and 11 assists. Hamilton also played 33 games in the AHL, including 30 with the Springfield Thunderbirds and three for the Laval Rocket, racking up 12 points on one goal and 11 assists.

The 6-foot, 194-pound native of Calgary, Alberta, spent four years at the University of Vermont, where he played in 119 games and racked up 43 points on 12 goals and 31 assists. Since departing from Vermont in 2017, Hamilton has totaled 39 AHL games and 29 ECHL games in his career.

Hamilton and the Monarchs open the season on the road against the Brampton Beast on Oct. 13 before returning home on Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. to face the Newfoundland Growlers. For tickets to Opening Night, Season Memberships and group tickets, please contact the Monarchs front office at 603-626-7825.
