IOWA SHUFFLES ROSTER, SIGNS AVIANIIowa Wild Releases Yogan DES MOINES, IA – Iowa Wild General Manager Brent Flahr on Tuesday announced the American Hockey League (NHL) club has signed center Mike Aviani to a professional tryout agreement (PTO). In addition, Flahr announced the team has released center Andrew Yogan from a PTO. Aviani, 22 (4/7/93), recently suited up for the AHL’s San Jose Barracuda, picking up one assist in four games played. Prior to that, he started the season with the ECHL’s Florida Everblades. In 15 games with Florida, the 5-10, 195-pound center had eight goals and 15 points. He spent the bulk of his rookie season in Florida as well, scoring 10 goals and totaling25 points in 54 games played. He also was scoreless in two AHL games with Charlotte in 2014-15. The undrafted forward played in the WHL for Spokane from 2009-14. In 273 games, Aviani scored 89 times and set up 117 others for 125 points. Yogan, 23 (12/4/91), played in14 games for Iowa, scoring one goal and totaling four points. The fifth-year pro started the season with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. In one game with the Cyclones, he picked up three assists. The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder spent the majority of the 2014-15 season with the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage. In 43 games with San Antonio, the Coral Springs, FL native scored eight goals and totaled nine points. Over his career, Yogan has played in 148 AHL games, scoring 23 times and adding 22 assists for 45 points. Aside from San Antonio, he has also suited up for the AHL’s Hartford WolfPack/Connecticut Whale from 2010-2015. The New York Rangers drafted him in the fourth round (#110 overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. The Iowa Wild continues a six-game road trip on Thursday in Cleveland, playing twice at Lake Erie before returning home on Tuesday, Dec. 8 for a game against the Chicago Wolves. Kids (12 and under) eat free on Tuesday with a “Crash’s Kids Meal” courtesy of 96.5 Country of iHeartMedia Des Moines. The meal includes one hot dog, one soda, one popcorn, one fruit snack, and one Iowa Wild prize. It’s also a Taco Tuesday, where each fan receives a coupon for a free taco from Taco John’s upon entering the arena. The Wells Fargo Arena box office is open Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. For Saturday game days, the box office will open at 10 a.m. For Sunday game days the box office will open at 12 p.m. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-844-55-HYVEE or by visiting participating Hy-Vee food stores locations in the greater Des Moines area. The Iowa Wild 2015-16 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team’s 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena. Season tickets to see the Wild play its 2015-16 season at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game.
