ZUCKER RETURNS TO IOWAZUCKER RETURNS TO IOWA, CARON RECALLED FROM ORLANDO Iowa Plays Next Five On The Road, Returns For Teddy Bear Toss at Home Dec. 15 Des Moines, IA – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Sunday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned forward Jason Zucker to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) and reinstated Mike Rupp to the active roster. Iowa Wild General Manager Jim Mill also announced forward Josh Caron has been recalled from the Orlando Solar Bears, Iowa’s ECHL affiliate. Zucker, 21 (1/16/92), has registered 15 shots in six games with Minnesota this season and owns seven points (4-3=7) in 32 career NHL games with the Wild. He has also tallied 10 points (6-4=10), including three power-play goals in 13 games with Iowa this season. Rupp, 33 (1/13/80), has skated in two games with Minnesota this season after missing 24 games with a lower-body injury. Caron spent training camp with Iowa before he was assigned to Orlando in October. The 22-year old forward has played in three games for the Solar Bears this season, posting zero points and five penalty minutes. A second-year pro, the 6-foot-4, 220-pound winger spent the majority of his rookie season with Orlando. He also played in 11 games for Houston in the AHL, picking up seven penalty minutes. The Wild continues a six-game road trip on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. in San Antonio. After two games at Texas and Abbotsford, the team returns home on Sunday, Dec. 15 to host Rockford at 4:05 p.m. For Sunday’s game, the team will hold its first Teddy Bear Toss, where fans are encouraged to throw a stuffed animal on the ice for charity. Fans will be permitted to through Teddy Bears on the ice after the Wild score its first goal of the night.
