Molino scores a hat-trick in Trinidad's 6-1 win over the Dominican Republic

Midfielder Kevin Molino continued his impressive attacking form in 2014 on Wednesday night, scoring a hat-trick in Trinidad’s opening CFU Caribbean Cup match against the Dominican Republic.

Molino’s three goals propelled his native country to a comfortable 6-1 victory over the Dominican Republic, securing three crucial points for Trinidad as they began their quest to qualify for the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

City’s first MLS signing scored all three of his goals within the first 25 minutes of the match, beginning with an early finish in the 2nd minute of play. Trinidad continued their relentless attack in the second half when Cardiff City striker Kenwyne Jones notched a brace.

Trinidad will play their second match of the Caribbean Cup on October 10 against St. Lucia, before concluding group play against Antigua and Barbuda on October 12. The top two teams from each group will move on to join hosts Jamaica and Cuba in the eight-team Caribbean Cup Finals.
