ORLANDO CITY SC vs DAYTON DUTCH LIONS Orlando City (17-4-4, 55 points) Head Coach Adrian Heath’s squad has never lost at home to Dayton, conceding only one goal to the Dutch Lions in the City Beautiful. Heading into Sunday’s match, Orlando City boasts an imposing 43-4-10 record at home. Team News • The Lions return to ESPN Wide World of Sports for the first time in 15 days where Orlando has yet to lose a USL PRO game in 2014. • The match will be the Lions’ 100th USL PRO game, marking a major milestone for the club. • Despite Thursday’s road loss, City still has an opportunity to claim the Regular Season Title with a win at home on Sunday – depending on the outcome of the Richmond and Sacramento games Saturday night. • Player Update for Sunday – Luke Boden, Bryan Burke and Anthony Pulis are unavailable for selection due to injury. Team News • After racking up 12 losses in the past three months, the month of August has been Dayton’s best month for results, producing a 1-2-2 record in four games played. • Midfielder Sebastien Thuriere will be unavailable for selection against Orlando after being called-up by the Haitian National Team for a 10-day camp and a fixture against Chile on Sept. 9 in Ft. Lauderdale. • Forward Aaron Schoenfeld leads the team with 25 points, scoring 12 goals and one assist. Last Match • Carlos Alvarez gave the Rapids the advantage before the 30 minute mark, beating the ‘keeper to slot the ball into the back of the net. • The Dutch Lions were awarded a penalty in the 60th minute, allowing a quality opportunity to respond.
