Learn more about some of Orlando City's most dedicated fans

You may have seen the our new billboards all around the Greater Orlando area promoting Season Tickets for 2015 going on sale. (Shameless plug: prices for season tickets will increase after the World Cup, so buy them now!) Did you know that all the people featured on the bill boards are season ticket holders? In the second part of our series profiling these fans, we talk to Tiffanie Florentine and Richard Painter.

Richard.jpgName: Richard Painter
Profession: Design Special Events
Years being a fan: Fan since the conception and season ticker holder for two years

OC: What does Orlando City mean to you?
RP: “I love the game so much, and I think it has brought a unity to this city. It’s brought a lot of people together, additional jobs, additional money; the economy aspect of it is great. The family togetherness that it’s brought together is wonderful.”

OC: What is one of your favorite memories of attending an OCSC game?
RP: “It’s from the very beginning, because all of the Orlando City fans are wonderful. You can walk in there and not know a soul, and when you walk out you know 2,000 people. It’s really an amazing feeling when you arrive there before the game starts and all of the fans are there for the team and for each other.”

OC: Looking ahead to 2015, what are you looking forward to the most?
RP: “I’m excited and hopeful for the national recognition that the City of Orlando and Orlando City will receive. Also, I’d love to see us bring a trophy home. To be that name in MLS that brings even more people here, more money here, and more celebrities here, and everything else to really help take the City Beautiful to the next level.”

OC: How did it feel when you were selected for the Ad Campaign?
RP: “It felt great. It’s something I could give back to the team in a different way. I thought the marketing strategy was actually pretty good. I really enjoyed being apart of it. It was really amazing to meet these new people that I now see at every game and we say hello, a quick handshake or a wave. It’s amazing how people can come together for common purpose and actually do some amazing things.”
