Orlando City Returns Back to League Play on Sunday Against Dayton OCSC looks to extend unbeaten streak in Ohio on Sunday afternoon
Orlando, Fla.- League leaders, Orlando City SC (11-0-3, 36 points) will return back to USL PRO play on Sunday, June 22, with City set to face the Dayton Dutch Lions (3-8-2, 11 points) at DOC Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. EST and the match will be live-streamed via YouTube.com/DutchLionsGateway. Heading into the match against Dayton, Orlando is currently riding a five game win streak and have also failed to lose a league game yet this season. The 14 game unbeaten mark and the five game win streak are both one game shy of surpassing the Club record in both categories. City’s most recent USL PRO victory came in the fashion of a 4-1 thrashing over the Orange County Blues on June 11, propelling the Lions to a nine point lead over the Richmond Kickers and LA Galaxy II at the top of the USL PRO tables. Leading the charge for Orlando City this year is the Club’s first-ever MLS signing, Kevin Molino, who has already notched nine goals in the first half of the season. Molino also leads the league in points (23) and is tied with Drew Yates for the most assists (5). Sitting directly below Molino on the goal-scoring charts is Aaron Schoenfeld, who has been carrying Dayton with eight goals so far on the season. Dayton has lost five out of its previous six fixtures, including a 5-1 thrashing from LA Galaxy II. However throughout the past three seasons, the Dutch Lions have only lost one match to City in Ohio, with the other two games ending in draws. |
