Yordany “Gio” Alvarez has been released from Orlando Regional Medical Center and is resting comfortably at home.

After suffering an injury in last night’s victory over the Montreal Impact Reserves, Orlando City’s Yordany “Gio” Alvarez has been released from Orlando Regional Medical Center and is resting comfortably at home.

Yordany, who was breathing the entire time during the injury period, is scheduled to undergo additional medical tests this week.

“We are thankful that Gio is doing well and responding positively to all tests so far,” said Dr. Daryl Osbahr, Orlando Health's Chief of Sports Medicine and the Club's Chief Medical Officer, who attended to Alvarez on the field. “I am very proud of the response our entire medical staff showed last night – from on-site personnel to the staff at Orlando Health.”

Fans are encouraged to send well wishes to Gio via Twitter at @AlvarezYordany.
