He’s only been in town for two days, but Dennis Chin is already making waves during his trial period in Chicago.

You may remember Williams as one of Sporting KC’s commentators and praisers of Chin during Orlando City’s 3-2 loss to SKC in the U.S. Open Cup. Dennis clearly left a lasting impression. Jeff Krause, Fire beat writer for Soccer By Ives, observed Chin at training yesterday, and sees Chin as a super-sub, a role he’s all too familiar with from his time here with the Lions.

Dennis will be with the Fire this week, and hopes to extend his stay with a short-term loan. He’ll know if he’s sticking around soon enough as the MLS roster freeze date is September 15th.
