Acadiana Cane Cutters open 2023 season with back to back wins

The 2023 Cane Cutters began the season with a 4-3 win on the road over the Baton Rouge Rougarou on Tuesday, May 30th. Acadiana kept things rolling for the home opener on Thursday night, June 1st. The Cane Cutters defeated the Victoria Generals in 10 innings with a walk-off single from 1st baseman Matt Abshire. The game was a slug fest with both teams finishing with double digit hits and a 11-10 final score. The Cane Cutters return to action tomorrow night with a 7 p.m. matchup at Fabacher Field against the Sequin River Monsters and enter the game with a 2-0 record.
