PROGRAM TITLE

Suite Holders Networking Event

OBJECTIVES

The New Orleans Saints made it a point to provide their suite holders with added value to their investment of being a Saints suite holder.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Saints provided their suite holders a unique opportunity to develop business relationships with one another at the inaugural "Suite Holders Networking Event."  The initial idea of the event came to mind when Mike Stanfield, VP of Ticket & Suite Sales for the New Orleans Saints, attended the 2009 National Sports Forum. "The idea actually came from the Forum. I was sitting in a session and a comment about what can we do more for our customers came up.  This sparked many ideas in my head and from there it became the networking event," recalled Stanfield.

The team hosted the event at their Metairie, LA practice facility on March 19, 2009.  Before suite holders started to network amongst themselves, they were welcomed to the event by Saints owner Rita Benson LeBlanc and head coach Sean Payton. After the welcome address and updates on the team, suite holders were treated to a first class experience that included an open bar, appetizers and premium giveaways.

A horn alerted suite holders to move from table to table in which they conversed with fellow suite holders about their products and services.  The constant moving of suite holders forced everybody to meet somebody new. Comments about the successful event, coupled with the magnetic interaction between suite holders was some of the best feedback Mr. Stanfield and the Saints received.

MEDIA

Because this was an exclusive event, the Saints mailed a personalized invitation card to every suite holder informing them about the event.

RESULTS

The event was a huge success for suite holders professionally and financially.  Saints suite holders developed new business relationships they previously did not have.  Additionally, the Saints "Suite Holders Networking Event" created business in the amount of at least $100,000 for one company and as Stanfield stated, "All suite holders that were involved received business for their bottom line."

LOOKING AHEAD

The success and strong feedback of the event has paved the way to a similar event for Saints suite holders.  We are told that a Family Day for suite holders is in the works. The Saints are planning to create a football themed carnival where families are able to interact with each other and most importantly, have a great time together.
