The Westfield Starfires Baseball Franchise is owned by Starfires Baseball, LLC an organization owned in equal partnership by Christopher J. Thompson and Donald L. Moorhouse.

Donald L. Moorhouse is an entrepreneur with a proven track record of developing and managing successful businesses. He currently operates a public relations firm while also owning and managing two Westfield-based businesses, Mosquito Shield and 413 Lights.
He also operates a documentary film company, writes a weekly entertainment column for The Republican / Masslive, and is the play-by-play radio voice of UMass Hockey.
For two years, he worked in professional hockey with the Springfield Falcons.
He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Amelia Park Foundation.
A Westfield resident, Moorhouse’s three sons have played baseball in town for more than 15 years through Little League, Babe Ruth, American Legion, Westfield High School, and Westfield State University.

Christopher J. Thompson brings 18 years of sport and entertainment marketing experience with an emphasis on driving revenue through marketing partnerships and ticket sales.
Chris began his sport marketing career working as a project supervisor for Boston-based sport management and marketing agency Woolf Associates managed by Boston Bruins legend Bobby Orr.
He spent four years as the marketing coordinator for the American Hockey League, based in Springfield, MA.
Over the next 11 years Chris served in several leadership roles with the Springfield Falcons Hockey Club developing a comprehensive corporate partnership program and built relationships as the liaison for the Springfield Falcons in the business and government relations community.
Most recently, Thompson was one of the architects behind the impressive launch of the Springfield Thunderbirds Hockey Club, increasing attendance by 50% and growing revenues to record numbers.
In July 2018, Thompson launched CT Enterprises, an agency focusing on marketing, business development and sales training. He is also an investor in the Westfield-based small business 413 Lights.
A Western Mass. native, Chris was honored with the BusinessWest 40 Under Forty award. He is a former West Springfield Park and Recreation Commissioner, current member of the Young Professional Society of Greater Springfield, Elms College School of Business Advisory Board and sits on the board of directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampden County, and the Western Massachusetts Sports Commission.
DIRECTOR OF BASEBALL OPERATIONS
Evan J. Moorhouse comes to the Starfires with a long track record of success in Westfield baseball. He has been a member of Little League State Championships, a Western Mass High School Championship, and was the Babe Ruth McLenna Award winner for leadership and sportsmanship. He continued his career as a four-year member of Westfield State University’s baseball team.
After graduation, Moorhouse served one-year as an Assistant Hockey Coach at Westfield University before moving to serve as Director of Hockey Operations at American International College.
He is currently serving as the Director of Hockey Operation for the University of Vermont’s women’s hockey program.
