Tornado Warning Postpones Nashua Game

The Worcester Bravehearts and Nashua Silver Knights were unable to start their game on Monday night as thunderstorms and even a tornado warning surrounded the otherwise-friendly confines of Fitton Field. At 7:15 PM - about 45 minutes after the scheduled start time - the game was officially postponed.

Fans and staff were evacuated from the park as a precautionary measure and moved the adjacent Fitton Field Parking Garage even though the tornado warning issued by the National Weather Service was located about 30 miles to the west of the park.

The rainout will be made up on Friday, July 20th as part of a doubleheader between the teams. The first game is slated to begin at 4:30, while the originally-scheduled 7:05 game will be bumped to 7:30. Both games will be 7 innings long. Teachers Appreciation Night scheduled for June 18th will also be moved to July 20th, and all teachers and educators will be allowed into the ballpark for free. July 20th is also Military Appreciation Night, so all veterans and active miltary personnel will also be allowed into the game free of charge.

Fans holding tickets for the June 18th game can call the Bravehearts box office at 508-438-3773 or visit Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field to exchange their tickets to any other game over the course of the season based on availability.
