Worcester, MA - The Worcester Bravehearts have announced that Rodney Lartey-Otoo will be the newest member of the team’s game-day experience staff as the public address announcer. A graduate of Holy Name Central Catholic High School, Lartey-Otoo attended Worcester State College before transferring and graduating from UMass Amherst. “What I am most excited about is to be a part of a team that has had a concept of being a family both within the organization and in the community from day one,” said Lartey-Otoo. “Working a couple of games last year and getting to know everyone, I felt that I instantly belonged in this organization from my first time in the Bravehearts press box.”

Lartey-Otoo worked in the ‘Hearts press box for a select few games during the 2021 season. He also announced the American Legion Northeast Regional Baseball Tournament, which the Bravehearts host annually at Fitton Field.

“I have worked closely with Rodney for years for multiple different teams within the Worcester sports market,” said Director of Fan Experience Donny Porcaro. “He is the ultimate professional, and fits the Bravehearts mold perfectly. I believe his passion for getting the fans excited mixed with his local ties within the community makes him the perfect fit for the position.”
