Gameday Support Staff

The Bloomington Edge are look to hire gameday staff for all seven (7) Edge games, with the possibility of additional playoff games. Positions currently being filled include:

  • Chain gang members (3)
  • Public address announcer (1)
  • On-Field Host (1)
  • Scoreboard (2)
  • Stats (2)
  • Merchandise (2)
  • Mascot (1)
  • Mascot Handler (1)
  • Game film recorder (1)
  • Director of Gameday Operations (1)

Previous experience in working live events is preferred, but not required. Will train those will mindset to work hard for long hours every Edge game day.


Spirit Team

The Bloomington Edge are looking to hire members for the Edge Spirit Team, a group of individuals that handle the coordination and execution of all Bloomington Edge promotional operations.

DUTIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

 

  • Regular and timely attendance. Flexible schedule to work nights and weekends.
  • Daily communication with other members of street team and full-time Edge staff
  • Attend weekly staff meetings with promotions street team
  • Create basic events sheets for remotes and events
  • Execute phone calls for logistical planning of events
  • Entertain a crowd in public with games, music, and trivia
  • Be creative with games and contests
  • Provide Edge staff with recap from every event within 48 hours of event


Members of Edge Street Team must possess good verbal, written organizational, and interpersonal skills. Edge Street Team members must be very outgoing as the Street Team serves as the face of the franchise at various events around the greater Bloomington-Normal area.


 

Ticket Sales & Marketing Intern (3 positions) – Bloomington Edge

 

Job Description The Bloomington Edge of the Champions Indoor Football League have three (3) immediate openings on its ticket sales and service team. The Edge are seeking aggressive, competitive, professional, and self-starting individuals who are seeking to break into the sport industry.

The individuals selected for these positions will be responsible for selling season memberships and group events for the team’s 6 home games. Individuals will be trained and coached on best-practices in ticket sales and marketing and will be responsible for executing email, social media, and phone-based sales campaigns. Individuals will also be provided opportunities to explore other areas of the Edge front office in the effort to enhance the internship experience and provide professional development opportunities. No previous sales or marketing experience is required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Send emails, social media contacts, and make phone calls to local organizations to market and sell Edge season memberships and group events
  • Work with sales staff to generate new leads and research innovative ways to drive ticket sales
  • Maintain a database of current and potential accounts
  • Participate in sales meetings
  • Meet minimum weekly and monthly effort levels appropriate for a part-time sales position
  • Staff sales tables on game days
  • Assist with game day promotions
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Hours of Work:

  • 10-20 hours per week (more based on candidates availability)
  • Work all six home football games

Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and professionalism
  • Driven to break into the sport industry

Compensation

  • Unpaid (Commission & bonuses available)
  • May earn course credit
