RailCats activate OF John Price Jr. from Disabled List

GARY, Ind. — The Gary SouthShore RailCats activated outfielder John Price Jr. from the Disabled List before Tuesday’s game vs. the Cleburne Railroaders. Price Jr. was placed on the DL retroactive to June 9.

Price Jr. hit safely in his first four games and was hitting .200 with three runs and an RBI in five games before being placed on the DL. Price Jr. signed his first professional baseball contract with Gary on Jan. 10 and went 1-for-4 with a run and a sacrifice fly in his professional baseball debut on May 20 vs. St Paul.

Gary continues their six-game, seven-day homestand on Tuesday at 7:10 p.m. vs. the Cleburne Railroaders. Daniel Minor (3-2, 4.05) makes his league-high eighth start in the series opener against Railroaders RHP Jared Mortensen (1-1, 2.70).

Tuesday’s game is another CHN Tuesday and Taco Tuesday. Tuesday’s taco special includes $2.00 beef tacos and $5.00 margaritas.
