GARY, Ind. — The American Association announced on Tuesday afternoon that Gary SouthShore RailCats shortstop Ryan Fitzgerald has been added to the 2017 All-Star Game between the American Association and the and Can-Am League.

Fitzgerald is hitting .228 with a league-high-tying five triples and leads the RailCats with 20 extras-base hits. Fitzgerald is also second on the RailCats with six home runs and 76 total bases. 

The 2017 American Association/Can-Am League All-Star Game takes place tonight at 6 p.m. (CT) in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada at RCGT Park, the home of the Can-Am League’s Ottawa Champions.

Gary returns to play on Wednesday at 7:10 p.m. for the start of a four-game, three-day series vs. the Salina Stockade. Neither Team has yet to announce their starter for Wednesday’s series opener.

Wednesday’s game is Throwback Night at The Steel Yard and is another Wiener Wednesday, NorthShore Health Centers Wednesday and Kids Run the Bases.
