RAILCATS CELEBRATE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS WITH SPECIAL JERSEYS AND FUNDRAISER ON BLUE LINE NIGHT
GARY, IN – The Gary SouthShore RailCats are proud to announce a special Blue Line Night celebrating police officers, sheriff’s deputies, and all law enforcement officers in Indiana during the game on Saturday, July 22nd at 6:10pm against the Sioux City Explorers.
The special Blue Line Night will feature RailCats’ players and coaches wearing a black jersey with a thick blue line representing law enforcement officers. Inside the blue line is written the name of every law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty in Indiana history. The jerseys will be auctioned off during the game with proceeds benefiting the Indiana State Police FOP Memorial Foundation.
“Law Enforcement Officers put their lives on the line every day to help NW Indiana be the great place it is to live.” said RailCats General Manager Brian Lyter “We look forward to celebrating the hard work they do in our communities.”
The night will also feature the following activities:
• Lake County Pipes and Drums Performance
• Lake County Sheriff Helicopter Flyover
• K-9 Demonstration
• Indiana Police Memorial Car on Display
• Police Vehicles on Display
• Special Ceremonial First Pitches
