Brian Flenner returns to the RailCats in 2020 for his second season as General Manager. He has worked in the sporting industry for 20 years in a variety of business operations capacities including ticket sales, ticket operations, fan experience, marketing, promotions, advertising, social media, communications, media buying, sponsorship, community relations and customer service. He most recently worked for the Akron RubberDucks (2013-2018) (Double-A Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) as the Director of Ticket Operations and Director of Ticket Sales for six seasons. Prior to the RubberDucks, his career has included stints a variety of sports and teams including the Youngstown Phantoms (2012), Freedom Sports & Entertainment / PMI College (2011-2012), University of Akron – Department of Athletics (2010-2011), The Ohio State University – Department of Athletics (2000-2009), American Diabetes Association (1997-2000) and Xoggz Pro Soccer Team (1995-1996).
Flenner received both his M.A. of Sport Management (1995) and B.S. of Business Administration in Marketing & Logistics (1993) from The Ohio State University. He is originally from Belpre, Ohio. Flenner and his wife Tami and have two children, Kaleb and Samantha. He has been an active community volunteer with the Green Area Chamber of Commerce, The Boy Scouts of America and coaching his children’s sports teams.
