Chris Wade



Born in Rockville Centre, the Long Island native is off to a roaring start in his MMA career. With a professional record of 11-3, Wade had strung six consecutive wins together before losing on May 8, 2016 in UFC Fight Night 87 to Rustam Khabilov via unanimous decision.

Wade attended Islip High School where he was a state champion as well as a two-time Suffolk County finalist and a Suffolk County Champion. Wade furthered his career at the collegiate level where he was a NJCAA National finalist for Nassau Community College and earned a NCAA Division III fifth-place finish for SUNY Oneonta. 

Training out of East Islip Kickboxing, the 30-year-old Wade had an amateur MMA record of 2-0 before turning professional in 2011. Wade then compiled a professional record of 5-0 and won the Ring of Combat Lightweight Championship before being signed by the World Series of Fighting.

Wade made his UFC debut against Cain Carizzosa on August 30, 2014 at UFC 177 earning a victory via technical submission from a guillotine choke in the first round. 

Wade lost by unanimous decision to Islam Makhachev (29-28 X3) at UFC Fight Night 94 in Hidalgo, Texas. 

In his last fight, Wade defeated Frankie Perez at UFC on Fox 25 at Nassau Coliseum on July 22, 2017 via decision.
