Gian Villante

Villante, fighting out of Bellmore, is currently ranked 15th in the UFC light heavyweight division. A graduate of MacArthur High School in Levittown, the 31-year-old holds a professional record of 15-9.

Villante made his name for himself in the Strikeforce Organization, and after Strikeforce was canceled in January of 2013, the UFC selected a few talented fighters to bring to their own, with Gian being one of them.

Training at Bellmore Kickboxing Academy, Villante has 10 career victories via KO/TKO.

The 6’2 Long Islander has notable wins over Anthony Perosh (UFC 193), Corey Anderson (UFC on Fox 15) and Sean O’Connell (UFC Fight Night 43).

Villante defeated Saparbek Safarov at UFC Fight Night 102 in Albany, New York via second round TKO.

On March 11th at UFC Fight Night 107 in Brazil against "Shogun" Rua, Villante was defeated via TKO in the third round.

In his last fight, Villante lost to Patrick Cummins at UFC on Fox 25 at Nassau Coliseum on July 22, via split decision.
