Joe Smith Jr.

A long Island native, (Mastic Beach)  Smith Jr., made his professional boxing debut in 2009 with a TKO win over David Brown. His stardom rose to fame in June, 2016 when he shockingly defeated Andrezej Fonfara for the WBC International Light Heavyweight title in Chicago on June 18, 2016.

Smith Jr., who works for General Building Laborers Local NO. 66, pulled off the improbable upset with a TKO victory at 2:32 of the first round. 

In his last fight, Smith Jr. defeated Bernard Hopkins via TKO in the 8th round on December 17 at The Forum in Los Angeles. 

He currently owns a 23-1 record with 19  KOs.
