Chris Algieri



The 32-year-old boxer and former kickboxer has held the WBO Junior Welterweight title and in kickboxing was an undefeated ISKA World Welterweight and WKA World Super Welterweight champion.

Algieri was born Huntington and has a bachelor's degree in healthcare science from Stony Brook University and a master's degree from the New York Institute of Technology.
The Long Island native compiled a 20-0 record as a world kickboxing champion before retiring to become a professional boxer.

After turning pro in 2008, Algieri amassed an incredible record of 18-0 with 8 knockouts. On February 14, 2014, he won a unanimous 10-round decision over Emmanuel Taylor, an IBF number four ranked contender, at the Paramount Theatre in Huntington, to enter the world rankings.

After 20-consecutive wins, Algieri lost his first fight against Manny Pacquiao for the WBO Welterweight title in November of 2014. Since then he is 1-2 in his last three fights, losing his last bout against Errol Spence via TKO in the fifth round in April, 2016.

He currently holds a 21-3 professional boxing record.
