There are several financial aid programs available to make the Sports Administration & Facility Management Program affordable for students.

Graduate and Teaching Assistantships
During the first year of the MBA/MSA program, many students receive graduate assistantships through the College of Business. Graduate assistantships with the College of Business are full or partial tuition waiver scholarships and include yearly stipends ranging from $4,000-$9,000 with a work requirement of 8-16 hours per week. MBA students generally work in support roles for faculty and administrators in the College of Business. Achieving international and cultural diversity within the composition of each class, as well as academic merit, is considered in the awarding of assistantships. All admitted students are considered for assistantships; there is no additional application process.

Students may also pursue a number of graduate assistantship opportunities throughout the University. Second year students often obtain GA positions in the Ohio University Athletic Department, in Campus Recreation, or in the SAFM program.  These graduate and teaching assistantships usually require a commitment of 15-20 hours per week and include a full tuition waiver and a monthly stipend.

Graduate Recruitment Scholarships
Graduate students are also eligible for Graduate Recruitment Scholarships (GRS), which typically include a partial tuition waiver and a stipend for one or two quarters each year. Students receiving GRS awards are assigned to work 8 hours per week with faculty in the College of Business on research or administrative tasks. The total assistance available through a GRS award covers the cost of tuition for the quarter in which the award is received.

Merit-Based Scholarships
Several merit-based scholarships are also available for second-year students. For more information, call (740) 593-4666.
