Kathy Schwab

Kathy Schwab is heading into her tenth season with the Milwaukee Brewers, having been named to her role as Senior Director of Marketing in September 2004. Schwab oversees all Brewers consumer marketing, advertising, research, partner promotions, creative, and branding initiatives for the Club.
   
Smallest in market size out of all thirty MLB Clubs, Schwab and her team have contributed to the Brewers surpassing 2.5 million tickets sold for the past seven years of her tenure – with three of those years, surpassing three-million.
 
The Brewers have received national recognition for their advertising work. Most recently, they were honored with “gold” for their print campaign at the PromaxBDA Sports Media Marketing Awards, and in 2012, the Club received “gold” and “silver” at those same awards for their television commercials. The Club was also recognized with The National Sports Forum’s Overall Award of Excellence those same years for its creative work across multiple media platforms, as well as The Sammy in 2011.
 
Prior to joining the Brewers, Schwab served as Vice President of Account Services for Zizzo Group Advertising & Public Relations in Milwaukee from 2000-2004 where she was the lead on the Brewers account during the last few years of her tenure. She also held the position of Divisional Vice President, Creative Director for The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. a regional department store chain with corporate offices in York, Pennsylvania and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Today The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. has the following nameplates: Bon-Ton, Boston Store, Bergner’s, Carson Pirie Scott, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s, Parisian and Younkers with 275 department stores including 11 furniture galleries across 23 states.
 
Schwab is active in the Milwaukee community as well as nationally through volunteer efforts, advisory boards, and business organizations. In 2006, she was named to The Business Journal’s ‘Forty Under 40’ list, a prestigious honor bestowed upon those who demonstrate leadership and accomplishments in their profession and community.
 
She recently served as the Communications Co-Chair for Milwaukee’s United Way Campaign; currently sits on the Community Initiatives and Advocacy Committee for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin; volunteers with Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation raising dollars for cancer research; is on the Milwaukee Board of Trustees for the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation; is a member of TEMPO, a leading Milwaukee metro-area business organization for those who have attained distinction in their field; and, serves on advisory boards for multiple for-profit and not-for-profit organizations throughout the Milwaukee area.

A native of York, Pennsylvania, Schwab played Division III Volleyball and graduated with a degree in English/ Professional Writing and a minor in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania in
1990. She and her husband, Dick, reside in Fox Point, Wisconsin.
