Ken Ungar

Ken Ungar is the president and founder of U/S Sports Advisors, a sports and entertainment marketing agency that offers client-tailored services including branding, consulting, marketing, public relations, digital, events, licensing, merchandising and strategic planning.
 
Ungar has worked as a marketer, league representative, event promoter and business leader at the highest levels of professional sports, including baseball, basketball, football and motorsports. He is an attorney and a member of the American Marketing Association, the Public Relations Society of America and the Sports Lawyers Association. In 2014, Ungar earned certification as a player contract advisor by the NFL Players Association.
 
His experience in sports business, personal branding, media training, sponsorships and endorsements as well as agents and legal issues led him to author “Ahead of the Game: What Every Athlete Needs to Know About Sports Business.” Ungar also teaches these important concepts to athletes and teams at sports business seminars across the country.
 
Ungar has worked with marquis brands on sports sponsorships and endorsements, including Bombardier Aerospace, Bridgestone-Firestone, Coca-Cola, Disney, General Motors, Honda, Jim Beam, Microsoft, Nissan, Pepsi, Pioneer, Rawlings, Reebok, Tag-Heuer, Toyota, XM Satellite Radio and more.

In 2011, Ungar was one of the founders of Sports Circle Indy, a sports business networking organization based in Indianapolis, where he currently serves as president. From 1997 through 2005, Ungar served as Chief of Staff of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Senior Vice President of Business Affairs for the Indy Racing League (INDYCAR).  
 
Before entering sports, Ungar achieved success in other business arenas. He began his professional career as a practicing attorney where he directed legal matters and handled litigation for corporate clients. Ungar then moved to public service, where he served for four years as deputy chief of staff and executive assistant for government operations for Indiana Governor Evan Bayh.
 
Ungar is a graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and business administration. He went on to graduate from Columbia University with a law degree. He currently resides in Zionsville, Indiana, with his wife and two sons.
