Next season, former Rhino defenseman Kyle Keeder will lace up his skates for Western Michigan's ACHA Division 1 club hockey team. In 50 games with the Rhinos, the Michigan native posted ten goals and 22 assists.
Below is Western Michigan's press release:
"Originally from Michigan, the 6’2” Defenseman grew up playing hockey in Jackson, Chelsea and Lansing areas. He played AAA hockey for the Lansing Capitals 18U before going to the West Michigan Wolves of the NA3HL.
We are very excited that we were able to commit Kyle for the 2016-2017 season. Kyle is a high energy player that brings toughness, skill and great vision to a defence core that is the strongest since I started coaching the Stallions. He brings a strong work ethic and the drive to give 100% to help the team continue to improve and not only make the national tournament but to bring home a championship.
Keeder will be studying Business Marketing at Western Michigan beginning this fall."
The El Paso Rhinos thank Kyle for his hard work and dedication and wish him the best in his future endeavors!
