Windy City Back Home July 18th!

The Windy City ThunderBolts will start a three-game set on the road against the Florence Freedom on Friday evening at 6:05 p.m. CDT in Florence, Kentucky. You can watch the game live on video cast courtesy of the Florence Freedom at www.fox19.com in addition to the regular webcast on www.sportsjuice.com.

After Sunday's game the 'Bolts will enjoy the All-Star Break before another exciting six-game home stand begins on Friday, July 18th at Standard Bank Stadium. Windy City hosts Southern Illinois in a pivotal three-game series starting on Friday at 7:05 p.m. The fun begins before first pitch is even thrown as the first 1,000 fans threw the gates will receive a Mini-Bat courtesy of All Chicago Fleet, Inc. Of course, it is also a "Budweiser" Fill 'R Up! Friday as all 12oz. domestic drafts and fountain drinks are just $1.

Friday is also Camp Out Night with the 'Bolts. Professional baseball followed by a night under the stars in the outfield grass is what awaits parents and children on Friday night. All you need is a stake less tent and a ticket to enjoy an unforgettable night. There will also be a big screen television to provide a movie for your enjoyment on our Party Deck. ThunderBolts staff will be on hand for the entire game and there will be popcorn and soda provided throughout the night. Breakfast will be served on Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m.

Saturday's 7:05 p.m. contest against Southern Illinois will be an historic contest at Standard Bank Stadium. It will be the Military Gold Seat Dedication Game as a seat in the ballpark will be dedicated to veterans of the military. Purple Hearts veterans painted the seat, donated by the ThunderBolts, with material taken from every major battlefield throughout American history, including Gettysburg, Pearl Harbor, and sand from the current conflict in Iraq on Monday. The seat will be prominently displayed in the ballpark and donations can be made to help wounded veterans adjust to civilian life.

The Gold Seat is a symbol to all of those fallen, lost, or were prisoners of war in battle in American wars throughout the country’s history. Just as all of those fallen during service have an empty seat saved for them in their unit’s mess halls, this seat will be saved for them so they will always have a seat at the ballpark, according to Pat McCauley, a Chicago firefighter and retired Marine who now serves with the Air National Guard. It will be the first dedication of its type in professional sports.

Also, the first 1,000 fans through the gate will receive Fan Clappers courtesy of Chicago Event Graphics.

Players of the ThunderBolts will be wearing camouflage jerseys during the game and a silent, jersey-off-the-back auction will be held throughout the game for fans to bid on those game-worn jerseys. The players will then give their jerseys to the winners of the auction.

Finally, there will be a post-game fireworks show to honor those fallen heroes in the military.

Sunday's series finale against Southern Illinois will start at 6:05 p.m. and it will be another Standard Bank Sunday. Families of 3 or more SAVE $2.00 per Lower Level Box Seat with a coupon.  Coupons can be picked up by going into a Standard Bank branch, visiting www.standardbanks.com or cutting out of the Regional Reporter newspaper on Thursdays.

On Monday, Windy City will welcome in the Evansville Otters for a three-game series. Monday's contest will begin at 7:05 p.m. and it will another All Faiths Night. Bring in your church bulletin and receive $2.00 off the price of admission for your family.

Tuesday's game is another 7:05 p.m. start but you'll want to get to Standard Bank Stadium early in order to be one of the first 1,000 fans to receive a Rally Towel sponsored by AJ Smith Federal Savings Bank.

Finally, the home stand wraps up on Wednesday with another special giveaway for ThunderBolts fans. The first 1,000 people through the gate will get a Softee Ball courtesy of RC Cola for the contest against Evansville at 7:05 p.m.
