The inning started with a solo home run by Petersen followed by back-to-back singles by Jeff Boggess and Matt Malcolm. Jack Culumovic then singled in both Bogeess and Malcolm. On a double play attempt of the bat of John Thrasher, the Suns were able to get Ricciardi out at second, but an error on the throw to first allowed Sessa and Martin to score with Thrasher advancing to second. Becker responded by hitting Thrasher in with a single.
