COMMUNITYAID SPONSORS REVS

(March 27, 2019) — The York Revolution announced today that CommunityAid, the non-profit organization that operates thrift stores throughout Central Pennsylvania and raises funds for distribution to local schools, churches, synagogues, temples, and nonprofit charitable organizations, has partnered with the team to present the 2019 season.

The sponsorship agreement dramatically expands the team’s relationship with the Mechanicsburg-based 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, which was the beneficiary of the 50/50 raffle conducted at each 2018 game at PeoplesBank Park. In addition to the 2019 50/50 raffle, CommunityAid will benefit from a portion of all tickets sold for the Appell Lawn Section, auctions of game-worn jerseys on Salute to Veterans Night and at the 2019 ALPB All-Star Game, and an extensive in-ballpark season-long advertising and awareness campaign.

The agreement also makes CommunityAid a sponsor of July4York, the 2019 York Halloween Parade, and the 2020 FestivICE, all of which are presented by York Traditions Bank.

CommunityAid officials called the sponsorship agreement a perfect fit as they prepare to open their sixth thrift store in the former Bon-Ton store in the Queensgate Shopping Center in York.

“We are excited to be expanding our commitment to the York community with our new store opening this fall, and we are thrilled to have partnered with York’s team and a cornerstone of community support, the York Revolution,” said Interim Executive Robert Moran. “It is great to be back at the ballpark in an even bigger way this year and to have the Revs’ help in not only raising funds for our programs but also spreading the word about the stores and services we provide in the greater York area.”

“CommunityAid is such a great fit for us,” said Mary Beth Ching, York Revolution senior account executive. “Through their local thrift stores and their generous grant programs, they are making a difference in communities all around our area. And we saw again in our 50/50 raffle last year that our fans genuinely want to support their neighbors in need. Expanding our relationship with CommunityAid gives those Revs fans more opportunities to help a trusted, respected leader in community outreach. We are excited to spread the word about the great work they are doing and incredibly grateful for their help in making our 2019 season possible.”
