GARY, Ind. — The series opener between the Gary SouthShore RailCats and St. Paul Saints was suspended on Friday due to persistent rain in the area and will resume on Saturday at 4 p.m. Gary and St. Paul will then play a seven-inning game 30 minutes after the completion of Friday’s suspended game.

RailCats LHP Lars Liguori (1-6, 3.98) is expected to oppose Saints RHP Trevor Foss (1-1, 3.95) in Saturday’s seven-inning. Saturday’s game is R & R Jamaican Beach Party, presented by Berey Bros., and includes Pre-Game autographs, courtesy of AccessAbilities, Inc., a free bucket hat to the first 1,000 fans 13 and older, presented by Methodist Hospitals, and kids get to run the bases after the game.
