GARY, Ind. — The Gary SouthShore RailCats (27-21) used a three-run bottom of the fourth and four shutout innings from the bullpen to defeat the Winnipeg Goldeyes (25-23) by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. The RailCats had every starting position player record at least one hit by the fifth inning against the reigning American Association champions.

Winnipeg jumped out in front for the third straight game with a pair of runs in the third. Andrew Sohn singled to center to begin the inning before stealing second. David Rohm made it 1-0 with an RBI double down into the left field corner. Former RailCat Josh Romanaski pulled an RBI single through the right side, scoring Rohm from second.

Gary cut the deficit in half with a run in the bottom of the third. Cameron Newell reached on an error to start the frame. Reggie Wilson advanced Newell to second with a single to right before Colin Willis moved both baserunners up a base with a groundout to second. Frank Martinez then brought in Newell with an RBI groundout, cutting the Winnipeg lead to 2-1.
