JIM CORNELISON TO SING NATIONAL ANTHEM BEFORE GAME 2

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs announced that Chicago Blackhawks anthem singer, Jim Cornelison, will sing the national anthem prior to Game 2 of the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs on Sunday, April 22 at the BMO Harris Bank Center.
 
Blackhawks mascot, Tommy Hawk, will also be on-hand during the IceHogs and Wolves game to participate in games during intermission, interact with fans and ride the Hamboni. Tickets to ride along with the Blackhawks mascot on the Hamboni during second intermission are available for just $10 (eight seats available), and fans can purchase seats by calling (815) 986-6465. 
 
The IceHogs take on the Chicago Wolves on Sunday afternoon with puck drop set for 4 p.m. Fans are encouraged to participate in the Blackhawks’ tradition of cheering during the national anthem while Cornelison sings prior to Sunday’s contest.
 
Rockford and Chicago will officially kick-off their best-of-five game series in the opening round of the Calder Cup playoffs on Saturday, April 21 at 7 p.m. at the Allstate Arena. The two teams will alternate hosting games with the IceHogs returning home for Game 2 (Ticket A) at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Sunday, April 22 at 4 p.m. The IceHogs will then host Game 4 (Ticket B), if necessary, on Sunday, April 29 at 4 p.m.
 
Rockford enters the playoffs as the four seed from the Central Division, while Chicago is ranked as the one seed after clinching the Central Division title last week.
