BLACKHAWKS, ARIZONA SWAP PLAYERS

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Chicago Blackhawks today acquired forward Anthony Duclair and defenseman Adam Clendening from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for forwards Richard Panik and Laurent Dauphin. The Blackhawks have announced that Clendening will report to the Rockford IceHogs.
 
Clendening, 25, has spent the majority of the 2017-18 season with the Tucson Roadrunners, where he collected one goal, four assists and 40 penalty minutes in 21 AHL games. The 6-0, 190-lbs blueliner has assists in each of his last two games and 1g-3a-4pts in his last six contests since Dec. 23. He also skated in five NHL games with Coyotes this season, tallying a pair of helpers during his NHL stint.
 
The Niagara Falls, N.Y. native was originally selected by the Blackhawks in the second round (36th overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft. He made his professional debut with the IceHogs during the 2012-13 campaign and skated with Rockford for parts of three straight seasons from 2012-15. The blueliner currently ranks tied for third all-time among IceHogs defenseman in assists (96) and fourth in points (118).
 
Overall, Clendening has combined for 131 points (24g, 107a) and 219 PIM in 223 career AHL games and 4g-20a-24pts and 42 PIM in 86 career NHL contests with the Blackhawks (2014-15), Vancouver Canucks (2014-15), Pittsburgh Penguins (2015-16), Edmonton Oilers (2015-16), New York Rangers (2016-17) and Coyotes (2017-18).
 
Dauphin, 22, made his IceHogs debut this season on Oct. 7 against Cleveland and has totaled 14 points (4g, 10a) in 33 games with Rockford. He notched a season-high four-game point streak from Oct. 14-21, including his lone multi-point effort on the campaign with two goals on Oct. 15 vs. Milwaukee. The Repentigny, Quebec native has combined for 67 points (33g, 34a) in 141 career AHL games and four points (3g, 1a) in 32 NHL games during his professional career.
 
Next Home Game: The IceHogs take on the Bakersfield Condors on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The contest marks another Fas Fuel Winning Weekday in 2017-18.
