The jerseys will be made available via blind-silent auction during the game, and a select number will be up for online auction the following week, with proceeds benefitting breast cancer research. Two jerseys will also be raffled off at the game on Jan. 26.

This year’s Pink in the Rink jerseys are a replica of the uniforms worn by the original Rockford Peaches baseball team, who are celebrating their 75^th anniversary in 2018. The Peaches, made famous in the film “A League of Their Own,” were a founding member of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, and played from 1943-1954. The pink-colored sweater features the Rockford Peaches logo—a version of Rockford’s city seal—on the chest, with a widespread collar pattern and buttons printed on the front to match the original jerseys. A striking red belt design encircles the midriff, as it would look on the real baseball uniform.

Rockford Peaches-inspired T-shirts and hats will also be available for purchase at Oink Outfitters, which is located on the arena concourse, during the Pink in the Rink game. The shirts are a mockup of the jersey design, featuring the Peaches logo and belt/button designs, while the hats match the original design worn by the team—a black base emblazoned with a red circle bearing a black “R” on the front.

As part of Pink in the Rink night, the ice at the BMO Harris Bank Center will be dyed pink for the game. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will also receive a free SwedishAmerican sound-sensitive bracelet.

Since the inaugural Pink in the Rink game in 2010, the IceHogs have donated more than $180,000 to breast cancer research.

Next Home Game: The IceHogs take on the Bakersfield Condors on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The contest marks another Fas Fuel Winning Weekday in 2017-18. If the Hogs win, tickets from Tuesday’s game can be redeemed for a ticket of equal or lesser value to the following Fas Fuel Winning Weekdays game on Wednesday, Feb. 7. Fans can also enjoy $2 tacos, select beer, and companion tickets as part of Taco Tuesday.
