David McElwee

VP, Ticket Sales, Service Operations
Washington Nationals



David McElwee serves as the Vice President of Ticket Sales, Service and Operations, overseeing the Washington Nationals Baseball Club’s ticket sales and renewal strategies, including: NATS PLUS Membership and Premium Plan Packages, Group Nights, Theme Events and Single Game ticketing programs, as well as the Box Office operations.
 
Prior to his time with the Nationals, McElwee managed the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats Group Sales efforts as the Senior Manager of Group Sales, and with the WNBA as the Ticket Sales Manager for the Minnesota Lynx during the 2006 and 2007 seasons. 
 
In 2005, David began his sports management career when he was named General Manger of the San Diego Siege, a National Women’s Basketball League (NWBL) expansion franchise.  As the team’s inaugural General Manager, he secured team sponsors, negotiated the team’s official playing venue, and created, developed and implemented the team’s branding, marketing, public relations and sales efforts.
 
From 2003-2005, David was a manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, helping guide his Delaware-based branch to location records in fleet size and operating profits for the Philadelphia market.
 
David attended the University of Delaware and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Business Management.
 
A native of Wilmington, Delaware, David and his wife Carissa and son Nolan currently reside in Alexandria, VA.
